Valerie and her husband have owned and live on-site at Merry Go Round Stables since 1999 running a successful horse boarding business ! Valerie has been in the industry as a working student under several different top notch dressage and hunter/jumper trainers before running her own training and lesson program for several years. She has a strong background in foundational skills for ALL horses, dressage up to 3rd level, and hunter/jumper disciplines. She believes in a horse first approach that allows horses to be the best version of themselves regardless of which direction or discipline they ultimately go. When she's not working at the barn or hanging out with her 3 horses, she has a life coaching business to help humans become the best version of themselves ! Whether you need help in the tack or out of it, Valerie has the skills to help push you to the next level.

In addition to her regular duties as barn manager, she offers teaching and training services as part of MGR's team. She specializes in dressage, foundational fitness, correct biomechanics, and behavior modification for horses with problem behaviors or other difficulties ! She is also finishing an equine therapeutic bodywork certification and is excited to add this service to her program in 2024 ! Her goal is to provide the highest quality care for horses, while helping owners create deep and enriching partnerships that benefit their horse's physical and mental wellbeing !
